These monks were ones devout followers of Buddha, who resides in the temple of Angkor Wat. However, under the influence of some evil energy, they became corrupted. They hold onto their beads, however, they now use it to shoot out dark energy balls, and cast a curse that slowly rots their enemy per turn.
